‎"I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that." ~ Martin Luther King Jr.

Here here.
Over here too many people see all Americans as those partying at the death of another. I'm so glad to know you and to know this perception is wrong.
There are intelligent and compassionate people every where.

I felt glad to see your post and also the comment before mine. Whilst unbelievable atrocities have been committed I still feel uneasy at the idea of revelling in the death of another however evil.

I have felt so uneasy today but I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who feels this way. Thanks for the quote.

I have had a vomity kid since the news hit so I haven't had a chance to properly formulate my response in my head. All I do have is an incredible sense of unease. A questioning of the ethics and morality that appear to have flown out the nearest window. A real sense of discomfort at the celebration.

Thank you. I agree. Kind of embarrassed some are celebrating such a thing.

Just found your blog & this quote how true death is never something that you should feel gleeful about & hate does breed hate which is why we are in the state we are in....might pinch this if thats ok...

i also quoted this in blog last week. it's good to know that somewhere there's a grain of sanity and similar thoughts. and usually in the blogs we read somehow:)

hope everything is well with you and loved ones, seems like most of us have been living busy this year, there's sadly less and less room for reading and commenting on blogs i think:/ it would be nice with more interaction again, and perhaps more focus. hopefully soon...
